Autonomic makes all these capabilities possible through the use of patented intelligent agent technology, mission-built to make their products faster, smaller, lighter and easier to use than any other available technology.
Founded in Danville, California in 2003, Autonomic Software initially devoted their agent technology to address the growing difficulties IT managers faced in a rapidly accelerating number of software patches – and the increasing security risk posed by any delays to the application of those fixes.
It soon became evident that the Autonomic intelligent agent technology could quickly be enabled and deployed to help their customers overcome similarly challenging and time-consuming IT network management tasks, including those mentioned above - asset management, configuration management, software deployment, as well as power conversation. Due to the advanced, flexible technologies on which Autonomic solutions are built, they are extraordinarily cost effective. Not only are they far lower in overall cost than those of any competitor, they return that investment far more rapidly.
Autonomic Software also hosts and implements ANSA Suite components as managed services for small-to-medium businesses who benefit by having their network remotely managed and secured by industry experts.
Autonomic recently announced a new generation of its flagship ANSA Suite. ANSA Platinum includes a variety of new components, including ANSA Power Conservation and ANSA for Oracle Enterprise Manager, and ANSA Configuration Management. ANSA includes the ability for System Administrators to monitor key enterprise functions such as; low disk space, hardware changes, application changes, new patch alerts and offline agent alert.

Future Directions
The company is currently working on a remote management and security solution that will allow IT professionals to manage and secure mobile devices. The product will provide patch management, asset management, software distribution, the creation of policies for ongoing compliance, and allow the IT to turn the device off or erase it’s data in case it is lost or stolen.
